This year our family received a potent reminder that every day is a gift. Our son Andrew narrowly survived the earthquake in Port-Au-Prince Haiti. Since then, all the events of 2010 have included an extra measure of gratitude. In our various wanderings, friends and family have gone beyond the call of duty in providing food, lodging and good times together. As Donald has knocked on thousands of doors during his political campaign, the gracious reception from strangers has reminded us that America is a wonderful place to live.
